Display 3D results directly on the mesh.
The most common results are the currents (on surfaces or on wires). They are the primary outputs of an MoM resolution software. Other 3D results are far fields (including RCS) and near field. The buttons and the scales on the window depend on the available results. If there are variable parameters, the user can select a value in the range used during the computation. Usually, the only variable parameter is the frequency. However, for a RCS result, the direction of incidence and the polarization are also variable.
Note : for visualization purposes, the currents are computed at the nodes of the mesh. For each node a mean value is computed over all the the triangles connected to this node. As a consequence, visualization artifacts may appear for the currents at edges connected to more than 2 triangles. This doesn't affect the other results.
When the result is a field of vectors, it also possible to select the component to display. This is shown on the following example :
The "animate" button launches the GiD animate tool. This utility enables the user to generate animated results, provided that there is a variable parameter (frequency, direction of incidence or field polarization). Please check the GiD user manual for more information about this tool :
